J.Herbin black “India ink”

Encre de Chine, also called “China Ink.” This ink’s primary component is the lacquer found in the Punjab region of India. Herbin began production of India ink in 1829.

Shellac type lacquer dries to a nice shine

Herbin calligraphy inks are wonderful for lettering. The inks contain pigments and natural resins allowing a smooth flow and an exceptional resistance. They are best suited for steel nibs, glass or quill pens, calames and brushes.

Golden drawing ink

This rich light golden ink is perfect for calligraphy and works wonderfully with brushes. Do not fill into fountain pens however!

Works well with most kinds of papers, and dries very quickly. Water resistant and eraser proof!

Shake it or stir it up well before use!

Traditional inks from Rohrer are perfect for beginner and seasoned calligraphers and illustrators alike. An acrylic resin is used as vehicle in the ink, so when it has dried, the ink is resistant to water and wiping. Its special ingredients ensure an optimal flow without risking the ink to run over or through the paper – this way the ink is ready to be used on all kinds of papers and with any drawing nib.
