The feather quill comes with a vintage-looking nib, but – with some tweaking – you can use your favoruite calligraphy nib with it! Most calligraphy nibs can be fit into the nib holder with the help of pliers.

Speedball’s plastic nib holder holds the nib in an oblique angle. This makes easier to write slanted letter styles without any the discomfort of having to twist your wrist. The oblique holder is very useful for anyone practicing pointed pen calligraphy, especially Copperplate, Spencierian, or slanting modern calligraphy styles.

Note: Speedball recommends only using this nib holder with Speedball nibs, as other nibs may not fit securely in this nib holder.

The nib is not included.
