our story

The Fanatic Calligrapher is a lifestyle brand as well as a fine art stationery and branding studio with a high emphasis on calligraphy and artistic, nature inspired illustrations.

The company was founded and has been owned by Boglarka Gleichauf. Her illustrations and calligraphy form the aesthetic that makes The Fanatic Calligrapher designs so unique and recognizable.

We started out in 2013 with designing bespoke wedding invitations, and a now well-acknowledged modern calligraphy workshop held by Boglarka. Our fine art wedding invitation design and calligraphy services have been available and sought-after worldwide, from the early beginnings.

In 2016 we opened our online store for fellow artists and calligraphers with a curated collection of calligraphy and art supplies.

As we grow, we keep on developing more product lines, new services and new workshops.

Boglarka Gleichauf

Graduated as a communication expert (BA) and as a lawyer (MA), illustration and calligraphy have always been the secret “guilty pleasures” of Boglarka. During the university years she gradually built up a fully functioning freelance graphic design studio while working on design projects for friends and later for small businesses, although she wasn’t pursuing a carreer in art.

After a few years of work in different communication, marketing and law related jobs, she realized that art was missing from her life, and by then, she might have had the skills and knowledge to manage her own illustration and design business full-time. Right after taking courage and launching her blog, clients immediately started to find Boglarka with wedding invitation design requests, calligraphy, brand design and illustration projects.

Though the team around her keeps growing by time, she still draws, paints and calligraphs every single The Fanatic Calligrapher project.
